Nature  (Can Science solve problems of Nature: ‘Quality Slate: Happiness’?)

Introduction

Nature  (Can Science solve problems of Nature: ‘Quality Slate: Happiness’?)

Meat:

1. What is Happiness?

More Than 3,000 Epigenetic Switches Control Daily Liver Cycles
(Observed: Scientist say your mind’s happiness lies in 3000 controls or expressions. Perhaps 3000 Infinities are yet to be solved)

2. How will you measure Happiness?

Insulin Plus Growth Factor Inhibitor Limits Vision Damage in Diabetic Mice
(Observed: England and Japan fight out who is going to pocket the money which arises when ‘Idea meets Survival’ and they have a smirck on their face)

3. How will you create Happiness?

Tourette Syndrome and Other Tic Disorders in Children
(Observed: Children find a ‘Black Hole’ in their growth and happiness, succumb to ‘The Will of Death’. ‘The Idea of Van Gogh’ seems to be the problem, one who gave up wealth for his passion)

4. If your Happiness is destroyed, can it be rejuvenated?

Common Drug Reverses Common Effect of Becker Muscular Dystrophy
(Observed: If the Society judges a ‘Particular Individual’ as failed, can the Individual come back ever into the Society?)

5. Can you be Happy forever?

Treating Cocaine Dependence: Promising New Pharmacotherapy
(Observed: Can we find new Infinities in us leading us to permanent happiness?)

6. Can Happiness be compared?

More Than 200 Genes Identified for Crohn’s Disease
(Observed: We need to address ‘How to share wealth among the masses? Some lye in anguish and some shout out in greatness. Some act like they have never eaten, and the others lye to woman ‘I Love You’. How will we ever share Happiness and therefore, can we ever compare ‘Happiness’?)

7. Can Happiness absorb your Sorrow? Others sorrow?

Sexual and Social Behavior Modified by Serotonin System Drugs
(Observed: Seems like Society Women like ‘Forced Sex’ as compared to ‘Consensual Sex’ telling us there is a new villain in the Society which is greater than women’s sadness and fun, perhaps a new ‘Will of a Man or a Woman’)

8. Can Happiness inspire other values? New Life? Death? Waste absorption? Hope?

Progress Reported in Quest to Create Objective Method of Detecting Pain
(Observed: Many years back ‘Steve Jobs’ reinvented ‘Dream of America’. Now an enemy called as ‘1976’ came into America with a ‘New Dream’ inspiring 100 million Americans to find for their truth ‘A New Hope: Sage’)

Conclusion:

‘Slate of Happiness’ discovered. More left, but I guess, I will discover in the next blogs.

Science Today (Can the World retain its individuality in a rat eat rat Society?)

Introduction:
What are the rats of Society which eats up individuality? How can Society differentiate between “Individuals who are prevented to take their leap of faith for the betterment of Society and not greedy individuals”?

Meat:

1. Astrophysics (Far: About Stars, Aliens and Fairies if they exist)

Backwards Black Holes Might Make Bigger Jets
(Now even Nature’s absurdities are being found to flow against the tide. I wonder if this is same with Individuality)

2. Quantum Mechanics (Small: Of young children, new thinking and the world of small things for people who prefer perfection)

Physicists Measure Elusive ‘Persistent Current’ That Flows Forever
(Light which you don’t need to charge at all: Given a Man a light and he can do magic with the World)

3. Nobel Prize (Talent: People who did great discoveries in Science and are given a prize so that you don’t forget them)

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 1914
Robert Bárány

The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine 1914 was awarded to Robert Bárány “for his work on the physiology and pathology of the vestibular apparatus”.
(Mechanism of Sound in head explained: How can a Man learn to interact with his Society or vice versa for better relationships?)

4. Brain (You: Human Thinking Machine )

Smell Is a Symphony: New Model for How the Brain Is Organized to Process Odor Information
(Odor explained in the Brain: How can an Individual cook food to perfection?)

5. Gene Therapy (Close: Of Relationships)

Reversing Heart Failure: Cold Virus Could Make Gene Therapy Possible
(How heart failure can be reversed?: How an Individual can form relationships with the Society? )

Conclusion:
This blog might be a bit lofty in its aim. However the basics of an Individual and Society explained to form better interaction between them

India & Innovation

January 29, 2012

India & Innovation

This is my personal account of my tryst with Innovation.

If the whole of India kneels (No Innovation!), what would it make of the people who disturb me in my activities. It takes 100 to 200 years to bring out an innovation set-up or perhaps very crazy people like Steve Jobs, Howard Hughes.

Suppose a country like America offers 100 trillion for me, would India accept it? 100 trillion would last India say 30 years of freedom from foreign rule. But after that we would be on our knees again. May be worse off. Easy money would usually spoil and rot the country (perhaps like me). We would be even more handicapped.

A few questions

Is Land more important than ideas? What if the whole Universe is just from a single particle, “The God’s Particle“, which might be a wave, as being found by FranceGermany?

Do I wanna live? Is it better to live 10 days as a slave or 1 day as a Lion?

The Two Paths of Learning

December 14, 2011

The Two Paths of Learning

This blog is to etch out the many ways of education in life. Either by going to schools and colleges built for the masses or do your own thing.

The Mass Way

Most of the East and a lot of West go for education from schools, colleges and institutions rather than talented people.

+
1. Structured Life, steady trajectory

2. Usually leads to fame, money and success

3. Society makes you their hero

4. Safe and Sound Life

1. Morality leaves you

Your Own Way

A lot of Americans (Steve Jobs) follow their own way by dropping out from schools, colleges and learning from talented people and on their own.

+
1. Chaotic Life, a lot of ups & downs

2. Fame, Money and Success become mundane for the person

3. Yearn for impossible and no-win situations

4. Death always surrounds you

1. Society leaves you

Examples
Deewar Movie

Personal Opinion
I was put in “The Mass Way” in India but am ending up in the “Your Own Way” of education. I gained all my friends in “The Mass Way” and all my knowledge in the “Your Own Way”

Infosys and the Tie

November 13, 2011

Infosys and the Tie

The Tie is mostly for the West where the infrastructure is such where a tie can be sustained. The East hardly has that. Infosys mandates a tie to be worn for 4 days. However the infrastructure in India can hardly support it.

It only provides infrastructure in the campus and perhaps the infrastructure (Salary, ESOP, Loans) for a home.

But what about the surrounding infrastructure in the city. That creates a difference in the behavior of its employees. So Infosys will always be dependent on the quantity of employees in its company. Not the Quality.

So if it has to innovate and become a next-generation company, all it has to do is get rid of the tie.

The Origin & Evolution Of The World

May 23, 2011

The Origin & Evolution Of The World

This blog traces out the origin and evolution of the World for a human being. The human being started out evolving from a monkey to a primitive human being (somewhere in Africa). He spread across the World enriching the civilization by advancement in thought, science and trade. Here we look at some of the main events in this evolution:

The Greece Age

If one has to look at the beginning of civilization, philosophy and science, go no further than Greece. Stalwarts like Socrates, Plato laid the foundations of philosophy and science risking their lives and more. It also saw the birth of epics like Illiad and Odyssey (by Homer) which laid the foundation of all future epics and learnings (Ramayana, Mahabharata borrow their learnings from the Greece epics)

The England Empire

If one has to look at the birth of modern civilization, England is the undisputed King of this arena. Issac Newton, James Watt, Charles Darwin laid the foundations of all modern mathematics, science. Most of the modern literature was written by the likes of William Shakespeare. They rolled the Industrial Revolution which took the World by storm making England the undisputed superpower of the World from 15th-18th century. Their glory during these times were so pronounced that England is still a force to reckon with.

The Age of German Perfection

If one has to look at the birth of excellence, Germany rules the chart unequivocally. They drilled down so much into detail for perfection, that it is still hard to beat them in technique and skill. Immanuel Kant, Schopenhauer, Albert Einstein, Erwin Schroedinger laid the foundation of modern detailed thought, science and technology (Nuclear Technology). Germany’s society has benefited so much that it is the only country in the World whose foundations are still intact in the recession of 2000.

The Golden Age Of America

If one has to look at the birth of individualism, go no further than America. America laid the foundations of its Society, where the individual was placed at the centre. They were given maximum freedom to take risk, innovate and build America as we known it today. From the likes of JFK, Steve Jobs, Google Founders, they brought about unprecedented technology (Computer, Internet, Biotech, Clean Energy) & wealth to America and the World. Their products still rule the shelves of every store around the World.

From Greece to America, the world has come a long way in evolution of Society, Technology and Trade. The World is increasingly one single place with a rich amalgam of race, religion, talent and culture. Which country would rule the 30th decade would be decided by the country which can develop talent & skill, and at the same time maintain its relationship with other countries.

Tuitions in School n Colleges

May 21, 2011

Tuitions in School n Colleges

This blog is to illustrate one of the biggest challenges in our Society: Tuitions in Schools n Colleges and their perils. This is mostly by studying the quality churning out in Indian Companies and also out of some personal experience.

The Problem

A Student is weak in a particular subject, mostly due to non interest or disliking of the way it is taught in the classroom or the way the subject is presented in the Society. Instead of omitting the non-interesting subject and concentrating on her or his likes, we are encouraging the student to get into the tuition system for that subject. Tuition mostly means mugging up a bit more by spending extra time on the subject.

Disadvantages

The mugging up of that particular subject by the student creates a further real liking of that particular subject or topic. It also eats up into the student’s free time, giving her or him very less time for relaxation, freedom and developing his natural talent and instinct.

Effects

The tuition system is just creating more punes than talent. Take any company in India, you would find people copying expertise from the West rather than inventing their own products. This is creating an Indian Society and Economy which is very fragile and wholly dependent on the West for ideas, culture and setting up the ever-changing modern civilization.

To summarize, the tuition system is a Society Problem, one which we must root out at the earliest if one has to create Inventors (Howard Hughes, John Nash), Scientists ( Albert Einstein, Issac Newton), Businessman (Steve Jobs, Larry Page & Sergey Brin) and many more eminent personalities like them.

Talent II

Talent II

This is an another blog to demystify Talent & probably an addition to my earlier blog about Talent :

What is Talent? Talent is the art of creating something very unique, something which is yet to be created and something which goes on to become priceless.

Talent comes only 1 in a million

If you look at the history of mankind, talent seems to occur at the ratio of 1 in million. This is mostly raw talent, which means talent is due to a property in genes or which is hereditary. With a little bit of focus, it can be honed to create exceptional value.

However exceptional talent comes only 1 in a billion and it has little dependence on genes. It is mostly created due to hard work, perseverance and focus. People with exceptional talent go on to create never seen wonders by swimming against the tide and are unparalleled. Talent is rare but exceptional talent is impossible to find.

Talent can be created by probability. If you clone and mutate people (1 in million would have raw talent). However Exceptional Talent cannot be cloned. Not even in 1 in million, 1 in billion, 1 in trillion,…. Never. It is the probability of talent (1 in million) and all the decisions made by that person in her or his lifetime (millions and billions of decision points).

Exceptional Talent, once in a blue moon

There are few distinctions between Exceptional Talent and the rest of the World. One of them is courage. From making a decision from “No” to “Yes”. Or being aware of oneself (as preached by the Upanishads). Most of the World is being driven by external events. Only a few are aware of what is happening around in their environment, what they are doing and what they should be doing.

Exceptional Talent was never intended by Nature. Still in some ways it is a product of Nature. So what is Exceptional Talent? And how do we slot them? The answer to this is unknown to me and perhaps the world also. And it is the holy grail of mankind.

The Division of World

March 27, 2011

The Division of World

The Division of World By People Quality (Not by Adam Smith)

There are only 100 odd people* in the World in any century who really do earth shattering things. The rest of them do the following:

1. Politicians want power: Not good of the country, continent or the world

2. Businessman wants profits, not good of the environment (Hence even though they are creating jobs but by harming the environment, they are negating any positive effect created by them for the poor)

3. Philosophers are thinkers, but want no action (I belong to this category as off now, although I would like to hop over to the action stage soon)

4. Common man is only concerned for their individual survival and not good for the community

5. Middle Class? They are erased by all the mechanical work and “Yes Boss” mentality

* Some of them: Che Guevara, Van Gogh, Nelson Mandela, Gandhi, Steve Jobs, Google Founders (Sergey Brin, Larry Page) & Yahoo Founders (Jerry Yang, David Filo), Howard Hughes, Einstein, Den Xiapong, Martin Luther King, Mohammad Yunus
