Me No Van

November 22, 2012

Me no, Van

The names
flyin

From Van
to Leo

You catchin
the thread

And flyin
high

Nature’s spark
firin

You fall
on the
floor

To realize
the folly

Of Man’s
sand and
pennies

Now you
get up

You ride
on your
own

To your
own destiny

You find
the colour

And the
slate

On which
you gait

With the
wonder of
a boy

Van Gogh

July 5, 2012

Van Gogh

A mad
artist

From a
humble start

Works on
a petty
job

In a
small boutique

Withdraws in
the night

To his
getaway

Hands in
paint

Moves around
like a
devil

Absorbs himself
& nature

Into the
canvas of
the walls
around

Days make
their way

Into long
years

No one
to ask
around

For love
or a
piece of
bread

Finally a
day comes

A thick
odour

Draws the
crowd around

Into the
museum of
Van Gogh

What are Paintings?

This is a simple view into paintings for any amateur, who is trying his hand at them, either for fun or work. Paintings provide a view to People, their culture, World, Universe through ages. It also extends man’s imagination to future.

Painters, like Philosophers etch out life and their experience on canvas. Van Gogh, Michelangelo, Picasso, Leonardo Da Vinci are some of the artist which portray Europe during the reforms it went through in the 16th-18th century. Most of the greatest paintings of man have come during his struggle against life (Nature, Fellow human beings, Other living beings)

At a more simple level, each painting of an artist is a thought to life. A Artist typically paints about 100 paintings throughout his life and a country during its peak timings gives rise to a bunch of artist simultaneously. To find out about a country or continent during a century, it might be a good idea to look at the paintings of some of the greatest artist of that time.

P.S: Most of the greatest artist have come from Europe not to forget early Indian & Chinese civilizations which brought out different forms of art (Pottery, Construction: Homes)
