Book of Life

Book of Life

You read
the history
with delight

The heroes
of the
past

Raidin the
far lands

Millions lie
like cattle

On the
path to
glory

You celebrate
these kings

And the
raiders of
gold

Not having
mercy for
the common
man

Their names
don’t do
no good

To the
estasy of
the mind

Then there
are the
the peacemakers

Whose names
are few

From Gandhiji
to Tolstoy

Their story
seems mundane

To the
naked eye

You shy
away from
them

Riding on
the red
horse

Marchin on
collectin
your share
of gold

Your name
shines like
a little
star

For a
while

Then the
golden hour
of love

You like
a hungry
jaguar

Pounce on
the naked
soul

Havin no
mercy

For the
weaker sex

Day in
& day
out

The story
molds

Into the
hands of
hour

A day
arrives

You on
one of
the pages

Of the
book of
time

Caution: This might be all theory
