Science Today (Science in its various colors)

This blog is to learn more about the World from the eyes of a budding scientist.

1. Nobel Prize (Talent: People who did great discoveries in Science and are given a prize so that you don’t forget them)
The Nobel Prize in Physics 2005
Roy J. Glauber, John L. Hall, Theodor W. Hänsch

The Nobel Prize in Physics 2005 was divided, one half awarded to Roy J. Glauber “for his contribution to the quantum theory of optical coherence”, the other half jointly to John L. Hall and Theodor W. Hänsch “for their contributions to the development of laser-based precision spectroscopy, including the optical frequency comb technique”.

Light with extreme precision

(How would find the average height of a person in a group. If you take only two people and set the average as the average height of the group, you are bound to make an error. However if you take the average of the entire group, the precision will be very high. So is the case with light. Light with many frequencies can be averaged out to produced laser like precision output)

2. Brain (You: Human Thinking Machine )
Molecular Duo Dictate Human Weight and Energy Levels
(The more we eat, the less we can run. The less we eat, more we can run explained by Science)

3. Astrophysics (Far: About Stars, Aliens and Fairies if they exist )
Astronomers Discover Pair Of Solar Systems In The Making
(Science discovers earth like planets far away)

4. Quantum Mechanics (Small: Of young children, new thinking and the world of small things for people who prefer perfection)
Searching For A Tiny New Dimension, Curled Up Like The Universe Before The Big Bang
(Science attempts to find an extra dimension in our view of life and the Universe. Its like trying to avoid ants while jogging)

5. Gene Therapy (Close: Of Relationships)

(Scientist create medicine to move our muscles)

Life is funny. You always went after more food, more chocolates, more wins. However Science knits another story. If you eat less, work more but yearn less rewards, then life might be better for you.

Caution: This might be all theory
